The Inter School Public Speaking Competition (ISPSC) is an annual Public Speaking Contest which runs across Senior High Schools in Ghana

1. It is designed to discover, recognize and foster the dynamism, creativity and initiative of the Ghanaian youth in promoting a culture of patriotism and national development;

2. It is aimed at building a genre of speakers who will use public speaking to influence society positively; and


The Participation Process

All schools have equal opportunity to submit one video per school.

Kindly indicate who is the Main Speaker and Supporting Speaker respectively.

Our team of consultants will assess and sift the videos. Shortlisted schools will be contacted.

Political Parties on “Peaceful Elections

The Youth wing of the various political parties in Ghana took turns to pledge peace towards the December 2020 Elections at the Grand Finale of the 2020 Inter School Public Speaking Competition. 

Remarks on ISPSC 2020

Our inspiration to join the speaking competition stems from the fact that, the competition is a novelty which is not cognitive restrained like other competitions but allows competitors to explore their horizon through a critical thinking approach on issues of national concern. It gave us the opportunity to coach students who have the flare for public speaking. In our research, we have learnt a lot to whip up or improve on our teaching pedagogy. Read more
The competition provides a platform for all students irrespective of the school they are representing to contest in a competition that allows them to freely express themselves in a manner that is not cognitive restrained. It is good and should be continued.
